iDriveSim Training builds the foundation skills essential for safe and confident driver training.

Simulated driver training smooths out the transition to real world driving. Tasks include coordination development, effective vehicle control in various weather conditions, knowledge of basic road rules, proactive awareness and anticipation of other drivers.

My program supports nervous learners and anxious parents by providing valuable practice time in a controlled environment before heading out onto the open road.

What is a driving simulator?

A driving simulator is a computer-based system that creates a realistic, virtual driving environment to train, assess & improve driving skills in a safe location. The simulator provides anxious learners or rehabilitation clients a calm introduction to driving. The simulator is stationary, so it allows people of any age and experience level to practice real life scenarios & hazard perception.

Simulators can teach:

  • Both Manual and Automatic driving modes

  • Starting Procedures

  • Correct use of pedals

  • Gear Changing

  • Hill starts

  • Brake Application

  • Steering Techniques

  • Procedures for driving (system of car control, lane position, changing lanes, leaving a parking spot, merging, roundabouts, dealing with traffic, cornering)

  • Scanning and Hazard Perception
